Double glazing in Glasgow
New double glazing when the frames have had their day, and a glass-only upgrade when they have not. Which one you need depends on the frame, not on what we would rather sell you.
If your frames are sound, you may not need new windows at all. Modern glass units drop into existing frames and give you most of the thermal benefit for a fraction of the cost and disruption. If the frames have warped, the beading is perished or the hinges have pulled out of the profile, then replacement is the honest answer.
We survey first and tell you which situation you are in. That means a genuine free survey rather than a two hour sales appointment with a discount that expires at the end of it.
Signs you need this
- Frames discoloured, cracked or warped
- Draughts you can feel with the window shut
- Condensation running down the inside of the glass
- Rooms that never hold heat
- Windows painted or swollen shut
How the job runs
- 1Survey
We look at frames, glass and openings, and tell you whether glass-only will do the job.
- 2Quote
A written price for the work described. No countdown offers.
- 3Fit
Old units out, new in, rubbish away, and the house left cleaner than we found it.
What it costs
Glass-only upgrades cost far less than full replacement because you are not paying for frames, fitting and disposal. We price both options where both are viable so you can choose.

Should I replace the whole window or just the glass?
If the frame opens, closes and locks properly, the glass is usually all you need. Replace the frame when the frame is the problem.
How disruptive is a full replacement?
Most houses are a day or two. We work room by room so you are never left with the whole house open.
Do you take the old windows away?
Yes, removal and disposal is part of the job.
