Three different ways to open the back of the house up, and the right one depends on the space you have rather than on which is most fashionable.
Sliding patio doors take up no space when open, which matters when the furniture is close to the door. French doors open fully and look right on a traditional house. Bi-folds fold back to leave almost the whole opening clear, which is the most dramatic and the most expensive.
Whichever you choose, the parts that fail first are the rollers, the tracks and the seals. We fit doors with hardware worth having and we set the track level, because a sliding door on an uneven track is a door you will end up shouldering.

Which is best, sliding, French or bi-fold?
Sliding if floor space is tight, French if you want the traditional look and full opening, bi-fold if you want the widest possible clear opening and the budget allows.
Can you replace just the glass in a patio door?
Yes, if the frame and rollers are sound. Large units are heavier so it is a two person job, but it is far cheaper than a new door.
Are big panes of glass safe?
Doors and low level glazing are required to be safety glass, toughened or laminated. That is not optional and we fit to it.
