Toughened and safety glass in Glasgow
Glass cut to your sizes, in the specification the job actually requires. Doors, low level windows and anything people can walk into need safety glass by regulation, not by preference.
Toughened glass is heat treated so that if it does break it crumbles into blunt pieces rather than shards. Laminated glass has an interlayer that holds the pieces in place when broken, which is why it is used where security or falling glass matters. Which one you need depends on where it is going.
We also cut for the non-structural jobs: kitchen splashbacks, table tops, shelves, cabinet glass and picture glass. Toughened has to be cut and drilled before it is toughened, so every hole and cutout has to be confirmed at order rather than adjusted on site.

Do I legally need safety glass?
In doors, beside doors and in low level glazing, yes. Building regulations set where it is required, and we glaze to that.
Can toughened glass be cut after it is made?
No. It has to be cut, drilled and shaped before toughening. That is why sizes have to be right at order.
Can you match a colour for a splashback?
Yes, painted toughened splashbacks can be matched to a colour reference.
